Toddlers (18 months – 30 months)
State of Michigan ratio – 1 teacher to 4 children
Toddlers are exploring and becoming more independent. They are active learners who are very eager to explore new activities. Our toddler teaching staff is very loving, energetic, and patient with our inquisitive toddlers. The teaching staff works closely with our toddlers to help them develop their socialization skills, captivate them during circle time and offer many tantalizing sensory opportunities.
Our program is designed to help toddlers build self-confidence through developmentally appropriate activities. By using our “Tadpoles” app, we are able to efficiently communicate your child’s daily activities straight to your phone.
Our toddlers are introduced to many experiences such as:
- Sign Language
- Potty training
- Outdoor and gym play time
- Holiday celebrations
- Clearly defined learning centers to encourage organization skills
- Fundamental learning activities that stimulate awareness and creativity to prepare your toddler for Preschool
- Daily chapel lessons to help begin teaching our toddlers about our love of God
All staff is CPR and First Aid certified and meets all of the State of Michigan educational requirements for their positions at Wee Care Child Development Center.
